No matter how good the school’s facilities are, it is the people who make a school great. At Sekolah Cita Buana, our dedicated and professional team of Indonesian and expatriate teachers are some of the best in the country. Our heads of department ensure that each teacher has the support they need to provide our children with a comprehensive education. Teachers and classroom assistants are regularly evaluated in an open and supportive environment.

Ibu Ita began working at Sekolah Cita Buana in 1998, first as a classroom teacher and then as the Head of Early Childhood. Later in her career she became a lead trainer, and then Program Director for the Foundation for Excellence in Education (FEE), providing Indonesian teachers around the country with training using best practices in education. In her career she also worked with Save the Children, Indonesia Mengajar, and at other national and international schools. Ibu Ita returned to Sekolah Cita Buana in 2008, first as Vice Principal and then as Principal of the school. Ibu Ita firmly believes that "is it our responsibility as educators to find and develop the true potential and talents of each child as every child is unique". She holds a Masters in Science (MSc) majoring in Multidisciplinary Studies in Education from State University of New York, Buffalo College. Ibu Ita is passionate about developing and improving the teaching competencies of educators in Indonesia.

Head of Special Education

Ibu Tasya has worked with our special needs children for more than a decade. First as a teacher, then as a coordinator for the Learning Center and now as Head of Department. She believes that all special needs children can be challenged to reach their full potential and that the "goal is to assist students to work within their own curriculum, and develop the academic and life skills they require.  Students also need to be provided with equal opportunities to integrate in mainstream classes which helps to develop social skills and confidence. Ultimately, children in special education need to feel they are understood and accepted and this is a reality at Sekolah Cita Buana". Ibu Tasya has a Psychology Degree from the University of Indonesia and has conducted numerous educational workshops and seminars.
